Which distro do you guys/gals recommend? Anyone had luck with these machines recently? I got the live to work once but after that 1 time - never again.

What I would like to do is put a distro on it so that the kids that don't have computers at home can continue their lessons of Code Academy, Scratch and Python. These machines only have 4 Gb HDs and 512 mb of RAM. The kids are use to using Lubuntu, Ubuntu and Linux Mint. They came with some version of Ubuntu Netbook Remix that is cluttered and setup with passwords we don't have.
